Coach andres’ story
ACTING
The beginning of his acting career came from pain and heartache from losing his father to cancer. Andres was 17 at the time, and just months after the funeral, he spontaneously decided to put himself out there for auditions.
Andres and his father shared the same birthday, July 11th, and both were very alike and had a passion for film. Notably, any film that stayed with you, impacted you, inspired you to believe anything was possible.
That transformed into a mindset approaching this business. Little did he know how therapeutic it was and emotionally challenging to be comfortable when you’re uncomfortable. Acting taught him to “embrace all of who you are.”
Andres has had the honor of working with some of the most prestigious artists, athletes, and entertainers worldwide. Even fulfilling a childhood dream in working in a superhero movie with his favorite superhero, Batman. And most recently fulfilling a dream in winning a Lead Actor Award in 2021: An Accolade Global Film Competition Award, Best Lead Role in a film called “Uncivil Seizure.”
“Maximize your potentials”
“Never judge, always be curious”
OVERCOMING PARALYSIS
August 26th, 2020 was a day that changed his life forever. Andres fainted in his backyard and hit a flower pot directly on his right temple. He woke up paralyzed from the neck down; doctors called it a “freak accident.” He suffered a cervical spinal cord contusion on his C2 vertebrae. Young, healthy and determined to get through Covid as safely as possible, Andres then faced a challenge he wasn’t ready for.
Hospitalized for 30 days at the Broward Health North Hospital, one week in the ICU, one week in Trauma and two and half weeks in Rehab. Everything he believed in was in doubt. He was defeated, terrified and traumatized, but supposedly he was blessed. On the first day of rehab, his physical therapist, Douglas, said that he “was less than a centimeter away from being permanently paralyzed for life, but had the opportunity to heal!” How much, was up to him.” Andres felt like he was in a movie and determined what kind of ending this story would have.
“Small wins leads to big results”
“NEVER GIVE UP”
These quotes were posted on his wall and each day he chose to give it his all, gratefully celebrate every small win and, most importantly, never gave up! His timeline for walking again was 4 to 6 months, but he walked out of there on day 30 when he was discharged. These steps through this journey led to Life and Relationship Coaching with Alex Cormont.
COLLABORATING WITH ALEX CORMONT
Andres met Alex in 2019 through mutual friends and became friends immediately, sharing many of the same core values and morals professionally and personally.
They started to work on some projects together, but coaching would follow later. When the accident happened, Alex was one of his first friends to reach out, keeping Andres optimistic and focused.
After being discharged, Alex expressed that Andres, now more than ever, has a voice and an opportunity to influence anyone and everyone on how to overcome all odds with the right mindset.
“Coaching each person has been a blessing because it’s been therapeutic for me coping with another unexpected life test.”
“Turn a negative into a positive”
